Paul Bennison's newly-approved "Geese chase" is a less good version of my "Wild geese chase".

I'm damned annoyed not to have thought of the reviews for this film that kolo, GHcool and rockgolf have just had approved. This is my film, you know.

Turrell71's newly-approved "No Clyde, two Bonnies" is a less good version of Emily Desmond's "Bonnie and Bonnie".

It's certainly the same kind of idea, but I think they're suitably different to both sit on the site. If anyone wants to believe one copied the other, they can easily find out Emily's came first.

I know. Just thought I'd point it out in case people hadn't seen Emily's. However, I think it would be best if the dates could be on the film pages as well as the reviewer ones. I have pages ordered by votes as my default, and to check relative dates by changing to chronological or going to the reviewers' pages actually takes quite a lot of time on a slow connection. (However, I do not know if having the dates on a page would slow its loading in the first place.) I find that it is a very general situation that the higher-voted (e.g. by chance) of two similar reviews ends up getting more and more votes, even if the other one were earlier, and this seems a shame.

"One misstep for Man"/"Small misstep for mankind". Don't know which was first. The former is better as it was a step for man and a leap for mankind. (Armstrong was of course too incompetent to get it right and say "a man" like he was supposed to. Lost in transmission? Yeah, right. Hhmmm, there's a review there somewhere...)

Yup- basically more information means more data, which means more to download (I'm sure you already knew this, though ). It may not seem like much, but in the long run even a little bit more info per review adds up, less so for you guys, but certainly for me and my site costs.

As an example (and a technical aside)- after cleaning up the speech bubble code (yep- I know it's still a little off, but I will fix it, I promise), the site's monthly bandwidth (the amount of data sent to or from it) has dropped an average of 20 (yes TWENTY) Gigabytes. That's about 2 and a half DVDs worth of data less that I have to pay out for every month now.

Not really. I especially thought that text was essentially insignificant in these terms. So, you learn a new thing every day.

My review is a play on 'kiss chase' rather than 'wild goose chase'

Perhaps the review would be better explained if it were phrased 'Girl plays geese chase'. Benj - can you amend the review to this rather than deleting it? Or is it best to simply resubmit?

Paul.

Ah, fair enough. That new version is definitely better. Good idea. I'll vote for it.
