Put any five reviews you like in your F.Y.C. list.
Do not use reviews from the previous round: you must change them every round.
Post here to declare that you've done it: sooner is better than later.
Provide spoiler warnings in your post when appropriate.
Read the F.Y.C.s of all participants.
The next round starts on Monday at noon or later, F.W.F.R. time.

Lemmy in for #1309.

The Big Steal—Robert Mitchum is a very nervous passenger in a car driven on remote Mexican backroads by Jane Greer.

Paul Schrader’s First Reformed evokes themes and scenes from Bergman and Bresson.

Myrna Loy and Ramon Navarro ride around the Egyptian desert.

A very young Mickey Rooney plays Willie, who is always in the way.

In The Mad Genius, John Barrymore’s follow-up to Svengali, he plays a similar role. This time he is lame and his student is a dancer.

Remembering Agnes Varda

N.B.
Varda's first feature film was set in, and named after, the fishing community of "Le Pointe-Courte".
In "Le Bonheur" a young husband begins an affair with a post office worker.
Varda finds a distant relative in "Oncle Yanco".
A caryatid is an architectural feature, usually a woman taking the place of a supporting or decorative pillar.
"Vagabond" reveals the final weeks of a homeless and restless girl called Mona.

Mild spoiler for El día de la bestia ('The Day of the Beast'), in which Álex Angulo plays Father Ángel.

Mild spoiler for The Sisters Brothers (here and in the review): Gun-toting Charlie loses a limb.

Hardy (perhaps) betrayed Laurel by making Elephants Never Forget, and later collapses from a heart attack.

I've seen two films about seriously ill teenagers falling in love: The Fault in Our Stars is the much less bad one.

Here are my five reviews.
