Posted - 01/27/2006 : 00:25:07 The last 2 times I posted in the FYC thread I got a note from someone that the link doesn't work w/o me being logged in. What am I doing wrong?
I feel like I'm always in these FAQ's, but I've never really been an internet/message board person before fwfr.

Posted - 01/27/2006 : 02:36:16 Lindsey, I know the answer to this one. You've been logging into a different domain name to most of us (benj owns a few similar names to fwfr.com, including 4wfr.com).
Most of us here use fwfr.com , so if you post your link as
http://www.4wfr.com/user.asp?id=8490
then we will be unable to vote for your reviews, as we are not logged into the 4wfr.com domain.
Solution? Log out of 4wfr.com, then log into fwfr.com, then overwrite all your bookmarks with fwfr.com ones (or easier still, just delete ALL your bookmarks that are fwfr-related and re-do your bookmarks). It might be useful to delete all your fwfr-related cookies as well.
So in the future you'll always be logged into the fwfr.com domain instead of the 4wfr.com one, so when you provide us with a link you'll provide us with
http://www.fwfr.com/user.asp?id=8490
instead of
http://www.4wfr.com/user.asp?id=8490
Hope this helps. This explanation might not be 100% correct, but will be pretty close to the mark. |

Oops- got what you're talking about now. Sean seems to know what he's on about even if I don't |
