Boiling Pot may have had multiple drafts going back to 2013, but the digital release came out this week. It is an extraordinarily painful examination of racial tension in America, a work of fiction authentically guided by incidents that occurred around the U.S. from 2008 to 2012. Director Omar Ashmaway and his co-writer and brother Ibrahim, aided by cast and crew and whoever funded this without dampening it, emerge as extraordinary storytellers. This effort will be impossible to replicate, but I hope it propels them into whatever they wish to do next.

Boiling Pot is well worth throwing a couple of bucks into the digisphere.
