As I have already said, it was stated that the deadline was the same as for the avatar competition, where the deadline is in fact not given at all. It became apparent there that the deadline was Wednesday, and my previous entry in that had made me think it was fine to vote by the end of Wednesday. That was not stated when you entered.
I just thought it was safe to assume that when one submits an entry into this comp, one would check the list of previous entries to make sure they're not wasting time and submitting a copy of another. The very first line it that post of entries already submitted in big bold letters is...Voting closes 9pm Wednesday FWFR time.

I'm sorry, Salopian. I usually send a reminder email to people who haven't sent in their votes, but I lost track of time today. I try to make sure the posting with the entries list and rules is as close to the top as I can. But we loved having you and hope you enter again!!

My point was exactly that it is not user-friendly for non-regulars. I did the avatar contest first and I cannot see any deadline specified there. I had gathered that it was Wednesday and so assumed it was the end of Wednesday. Anyway, it certainly doesn't make me feel like having a go again. |

Well I suppose whoever starts the new round could do that. Most are regulars here and know that FWPT, FWTO, and Avatar competitions all end at the same time though, so it's never been much of an issue. |

O.K., so they are. I meant in the opening post. That's the case for the F.Y.C.T.H. whoever starts it. And couldn't they be pared down a bit, and consistent with the F.W.P.T. ones? It all seems a bit of a palaver.
