Actually, it is a rule. In one of the first contests, the top vote-getter was disqualified (not by me) for not voting in time. So, actually, Whipper's in 2nd and someone else is in 3rd.
In this case it's been weeks. I messaged Basselope days ago, still haven't heard back, and also Basselope hasn't been doing FYC the past few times, so to avoid a Beagle-fishing expedition I'd say please do go ahead with it.
Okay. Let me think. (SMELL OF WOOD BURNING).

Basselope
And, 1st place with 12 votes (3,3,3,2,1)
Montgomery
Congratulations to all. Select another, EM, if you dare. Votes go to whomever wins from now on (or until you guys change it).
Looks like Basselope actually won. I don't think he/she should lose points for not voting. Is that a rule?

Got clarifications from Whipper and Bafta in short order. Please vote like so:

I've messaged Basselope. I sent the current tally sheet to StaLean, but I think I'll be able to handle this if I'm messaged by morning. |

Posted - 01/12/2007 : 03:24:17 So far, I have Montgomery's, BaftaBabe's and Beanmimo's votes... I have, also, sent this information and well wishes to Sludge by email.
Again, we have for your perusal:
BaftaBabe votes received Jimmy plays I spy. Sleepless in the New York heat. Is it murder, or
Whippersnapper If Raymond Burr had had the sense to draw his drapes there would be no film.
PaddyC James watches neighbours To pass time (but not the soap!) Perry Mason's evil.
Sludge emailed me Jimmy's got an itch a pair of binoculars and active neighbors
Ali Votes received Of all things he could Watch, like knockers, ass or minge James spies a murder.
Basselope What kind of a man ignores Grace Kelly so he can watch Raymond Burr?
Montgomery votes received Burr's wife's on a trip? She left her handbag, her ring, and her head behind.
Beanmimo votes received Dogs dodgy diggings Flower bed levels dropping Dead wife, second break
I am awaiting the rest of your votes so we may let dead wives (and dogs) lie, as it were. |

Posted - 01/11/2007 : 17:35:21 I believe Sludge wanted some help with the chores and suggested that whomever won the last Haiku and started the new one should receive the next round votes.
As I hadn't entered this round but did choose the film, I suppose everyone could send their votes to me and I will do the count. If this is agreeable to everyone, I still have the counting program that (I believe) Sludge and I created. I'm sure it still works.
The only problem that I can forsee is, if Sludge is not around, he won't know to send his votes to me. Just let me know by sending me your votes or posting your agreement in this thread, and, then, send me your votes.
Whomever wins this round counts the votes for the next round. |
