One of the funniest movies I know with some of the funniest lines ever, would be Some Like it Hot:

Sugar's like jell-O
on springs! Grant-ed Junior, "not
tonight, Josephine!"

Okay, I don't know if there are specific rules about this, but may I suggest that since the Whipp hasn't given us a new Haiku topic yet, we should wait until Wednesday and have the 1st runner up - that's you EM - give us a new topic for the week.

What do you all say?

I think someone should p.m. him ... it's unlike our Whippy not only not to respond, but to be so absent from the forums at all. My guess is that he's away.

That said, I have nothing against a new film chosen by EM.

I did PM him soon after he won, but I'll PM him again now.

Spare the Whip, spoil the haiku.

Where is our 'snapper?

EM :)

Hear hear Whip, serve it up for us.
ChocolateLady Posted - 08/02/2007 : 13:20:17
Ahem... Mr. snapper? Um... bravo! You choose the next film to Haiku, please!

Well, better late than never! Here is the results of the Some Like it Hot Haiku Contest:

But first, an announcement from your sponsor:

Due to a rare instance of a three way tie, out of four contestants, the administration has decided NOT to announce the third place winners and go straight for the second and first place winners.

In second Place with a rare show of ... er ... taste:

Montgomery!

And, in first place, with all his glory (as if we didn't know this was going to happen):

Whippersnapper!

Congratulations!

(Is there a problem with announcing early? I'm gonna be asleep at 9pm FWFR time tonight!)

Spats and voted.

Like I said... it is a matter of taste.

But if it was only a syllable problem, you could have written:

quote:

Hard to beat Monroe,
but that Tony Curtis made
a great looking dame.

So... that's all the entries? Should we start thinking about voting already?
