The classic thriller starring Audrey Hepburn as beautiful and blind Susy Hendrix, with Alan Arkin as the evil and devious Roat. Just TRY to keep from jumping out of your seat, even if you know what's going to happen!

Abbreviated rules (re)borrowed from here to encourage some new entrants .... or old ones back.

The Rules

The first line of a haiku poem has five syllables.
The second line has seven syllables.
The third, and final, line has five syllables.

The Movie Haiku Contest (MHC) is open to every member of the FWFR site.

To enter, all you have to do is think of a Haiku for the current movie, then post into the current thread. Simple as that. Also, haikus may be risque, but nothing explicit please.

Only one entry per person as per The Blevins Rule. However, you are allowed to edit your existing entry until 9pm Tuesday FWFR time.

Voting.

If you have entered the MHC, then you have to vote. If you do not vote, you'll lose 3 points from your total, and suffer from Significant Shrinkage. This could mean the difference between Stardom and a big fat Dumpster Dive.

You do not have to enter an MHC to vote. Vote away. It'll be like a lurker vote!

---------------------------------

For each round, you get to vote for your three favourite haikus. The voting is as follows:

3 pts fwfr a
2 pts fwfr b
1 pt fwfr c
--------------------------------

You may vote only once
You cannot vote for yourself.
You can vote for the previous winner

You vote by sending me your votes in a PM (Private Message) to me.

When the voting deadline ends (9pm Wednesday 13MAY FWFR time), the votes are tallied and the top three places are announced.

Cor, blimey, folks! I'm blinded by your votes!

That's some nice news to wake up to

Many thanks, and I'll have a wee think about another challenge.

Votes are in and counted.

Edging out the competition with a 3,2,2,2--BaftaBabe!!! Take a BaftaBow! Make a BaftaSpeech!

Edged out by the whisker of one vote was Sludge with 3,3,1,1.

Who was Third, and who was Last? Since there were only four competitors, either Modesty Forbids or I'm Ashamed To Say.

BaftaBabe, please kick off our next round with a previously unhaikued Movie.

Thanks, all!

Groped my way to the booth and voted.

You'd have to be blind
to miss that girl's unique charm.
Audrey's out of sight.

Put out all the lights,
Susy, and you can beat him!
DID YOU GET THEM ALL??!

Fire steals Susy's eyes,
but she learns by Roat who's bad
and who's playing games.

Lost your doll, have you?
Blind, not naive, our Audrey
tells you to get stuffed
