All of the titles here seem to have been changed on the I.M.D.B.

I don't know the programming, but I'd imagine that if it can be programmed to move articles then it can be programmed to ignore them for alphabetisation. One can do it in Excel anyway.

Hhmmm, I dunno. The problem at the moment is that it makes the site a bit of a mess and it also makes it harder to find films in lists -- when adding one to an accolade, one often has to scroll down to two different places, for example. But it is indeed less urgent than sorting out the hosting and the blocked films &c.

Or perhaps better still would be too go for the I.M.D.B. system of presenting titles in word order but having the alphabetisation apply as normal. However, would there be a way of standardising all the previously added titles?

The French film Gribouille imported with what appears to be a Dutch title.

EDIT: thanks!

Have we had a change of naming policy that I cannot see anywhere? I'd prefer the latter, but only if titles could still alphabetize disregarding it and only if it were retroactively applied for consistency to the thousands of others. Benj, as demonic seems to have identified above, is there someone else other than him, you and I amending titles?

I spot titles every so often that have been swapped back to "The xyz" after I've edited them the other way around (I prefer "xyz, the", but mostly for consistency because that's how the overwhelming majority of the site is organised, and as you say the site doesn't ignore the initial "The" when alphabetising. It's a little frustrating doing the same ones over again every couple of months. Of course, re-importing a title changes the title to what the current IMDB title is, which might explain some of it rather than it being a specific title change.

Once again an American film imported with a foreign-language title:

http://www.fwfr.com/film/?FID=49454

This is happening with some regularity.

By the way, this is in Salopian's Tarzan Aaa-aa-aa...acccolade. It doesn't belong. It is part of the Bomba the Jungle Boy series which has nothing to do with Tarzan ( except for having ex-'Boy' actor Johnny Sheffield playing Bomba). Darn good thing, too 'cuz Burroughs would have sued their loincloths off.

This was probably because of a foreign title containing Tarzan. However, I think I may also at one stage have decided to include Tarzan rip-offs too, which surely this is. I'l leave it there for now and make a final decision later.

Interesting. Re-importing the former, the one with the review, updated it properly, but the second one seems to be a duplicate that slipped through somehow.

I don't know if this is where to report this

Warning From Outer Space - http://fwfr.com/film/?FID=26198#.UXK8bbW-l5g
is the same as
UCHJIN TKY NI ARAWARU - http://www.fwfr.com/film/?FID=60320#.UXK8U7W-l5g

The title of this one should be Lonesome, not the Dutch title that imported.

This was a 1928 Universal production out of Hollywood, albeit with a Hungarian director.

EDIT: That was quick! Thanks.
