I'm wondering why this isn't on fwfr.
I know it was a mini series but i have a recollection of a cut for the cinema release that i went to see in the early eighties.
Can anyone back me up here? |

Well, I'm not exactly backing you up because everything from the imdb entry proves it's a tv mini-series, so any fwfr entry I guess would have to refer to that. However, the series did get a brief theatrical release in 1980, but it looks like only in Japan and the Phillipines. Is that where you saw it? Do you remember how long it was: that is, was it cut to "normal" feature length or a marathon compilation of all six hours?
I remember going to see it at Eastertime in Dublin with my Grandmother and cousins and it was after it had been on BBC.
It was cut but only a little, I remember it being very long but mesmerising even then.
