Sleep

I've been doing a lot of this lately, I guess it's the diazepam (for my back muscles).

Anglo-Swiss painter Henry Fuseli [aka Heinrich Fussli] exhibited The Nightmare at the Royal Academy of London in 1782. It was so popular that he painted several versions. It was frequently accompanied by a short poem by Erasmus Darwin:

So on his Nightmare through the evening fog
Flits the squab Fiend o'er fen, and lake, and bog;
Seeks some love-wilder'd maid with sleep oppress'd,
Alights, and grinning sits upon her breast.
