There are various types of dodgy comments that we see day in and out:

Quotes- these seldom describe or comment on the film.

Declarations of love for artists- "Depp is soooo cute!!!" falls down for the same reason as Quotes.

Fanboy comments- "This film rocks!" or similar is just too vague when considered in the context of the random quotes in the top right corner. It's also unfeasibly boring to read 20 of these things one after another.

Anything OVER four words- with our experience of writing reviews over the years we always try and cut down any reviews over four words wherever possible without losing the intended effect. However, some people still completely miss the point of the site and insist on writing lengthy film breakdowns. Also, concatenating two words with a dash is not allowed- we have a dictionary (somewhere) and we're not afraid to use it.

Reviews similar to any already posted for that film- if we think we've heard a review before, then we'll check to avoiding repetition. Always try and make sure something akin to your review has not been posted for that film already.

Anything that makes no conceivable sense- if we can't figure out what the reviewer is trying to say in their four words, chances are neither will anyone else visiting the site.

General film reviews- generalized reviews, e.g. "Beautiful cinematography, moving soundtrack", will seldom make the site. Whilst this is a perfectly valid point of view, it doesn't work in the context of random "What film?" quotes and gets a tad repetitive when reading through a 100 of them. However, in the interest of trying to look like a legitimate film review site, we do occasionally let them in.

If none of the above seem to apply, feel free to post your query in the fourum. Whilst the site editor doesn't usually have the time to personally explain reasons for declined reviews, most posters in the fourum have a rough idea what will and what won't (and why it won't) make the grade and are more than happy to help.
