MHC # 54 TOY STORY 2

After our last Haiku competition I felt we should have a complete change of direction and so, after much consideration, I have selected Toy Story 2.

Abbreviated rules borrowed from here to encourage some new entrants ....

The Rules

The first line of a haiku poem has five syllables.
The second line has seven syllables.
The third, and final, line has five syllables.

The Movie Haiku Contest (MHC) is open to every member of the FWFR site.

To enter, all you have to do is think of a Haiku for the current movie, then post into the current thread. Simple as that. Also, haikus may be risque, but nothing explicit please.

Only one entry per person as per The Blevins Rule. However, you are allowed to edit your existing entry until 9pm Tuesday FWFR time. *

Voting.

If you have entered the MHC, then you have to vote. If you do not vote, you'll lose 3 points from your total. This could mean the difference between the adoration and envy of your fellow Fwiffers or being the feckless butt of our jokes!

You do not have to enter an MHC to vote. Vote away. It'll be like a lurker vote!

---------------------------------

For each round, you get to vote for your three favourite MHC. The voting is as follows:

3 pts fwfrer a
2 pts fwfr b
1 pt fwfr c
--------------------------------

You cannot vote for yourself.
You can vote for the previous winner

You vote by sending me your votes in a PM (Private Message). I'll resent it, but do it anyway.

You may vote only once.

When the voting deadline ends (9pm Wednesday 24APR FWFR time), the votes are tallied and the top three places are announced.

Well, looks like only 4 entries. Maybe Toy Story 2 is a bit too highfalutin' for some folks around here?

Anyhow, lets be getting those votes in... Chop, chop.

Voted. Then put myself back into the box, so I would look like I was in mint, in the box, condition.

Whipper,

Four entries qualifies as a great choice!

I just haven't seen it yet.

Well, poor Sludge, missing out like that.

OK, we now have the votes, and boy was it close! Was it close? Yes, boy it was.

So close in fact that 4th place got 5 points, =2nd was 6 points and 1st was 7 points!

And, as there were only 4 entries, I think its best just to announce the winner, so as not to embarrass the person who came last, whose identity will remain hidden (although it wasn't me!):

DIM LIGHTS

ROLL DRUMS

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN -

THE WINNER IS:

MONTGOMERY!

So, off you go Monty, start the next round!

Wow! My admittal that I was a blubbering fool for a red-haired doll sent to the dump apparently won the sympathetic vote.

Okay. Let me think of a movie that doesn't start with the words: Toy or Story.

Like a true poet you expressed what we all felt.

(Although personally I liked Bullseye the horse better. )
