Okay. Not sure if I should do this, since I don't know which way Chocolate's vote went. But, rockfsh said I should start the next one, so I will.

How about a little Hitchcock -- The Birds.

I looked through the list and didn't see it. But, just let me know if a bird has pecked out my eyes again and I just couldn't see correctly.

I'll post the rules here in a sec.

Be patient. Geez!
Abbreviated rules borrowed from here to encourage some new entrants ....

The Rules

The first line of a haiku poem has five syllables.
The second line has seven syllables.
The third, and final, line has five syllables.

The Movie Haiku Contest (MHC) is open to every member of the FWFR site.

To enter, all you have to do is think of a Haiku for the current movie, then post into the current thread. Simple as that. Also, haikus may be risque, but nothing explicit please.

Only one entry per person as per The Blevins Rule. However, you are allowed to edit your existing entry until 9pm Tuesday FWFR time. *

Voting.

If you have entered the MHC, then you have to vote. If you do not vote, you'll lose 3 points from your total, even if you are Sludge and its your birthday. This could mean the difference between the adoration and envy of your fellow Fwiffers or being the feckless butt of our jokes!

You do not have to enter an MHC to vote. Vote away. It'll be like a lurker vote!

---------------------------------

For each round, you get to vote for your three favourite haikus. The voting is as follows:

3 pts fwfr a
2 pts fwfr b
1 pt fwfr c
--------------------------------

You may vote only once
You cannot vote for yourself.
You can vote for the previous winner

You vote by sending me your votes in a PM to Me, Monty.

When the voting deadline ends (9pm Wednesday 23 JAN FWFR time - delayed by popular demand), the votes are tallied and the top three places are announced.

And please, no wagering.

Tippi comes to town.
The birds flip out, but why? Did
she flip them the bird?

Crows can't whistle when
Tasty Tippi tiptoes by.
But they can go "Caw!"

Okay. There were so few entries, that I'm just going to announce first and second place.

In second place with 6 points (3,2,1) is the lovely, the amazing, the able to write witty in 17 syllables. It's Baftababe.

And in first place with a unanimous (except for when he voted, because he couldn't vote for himself) nine points. (3,3,3)

It's the rockin' Rockfsh.

Congrats, Rockfsh and please pick our next Haiku movie, which, hopefully, will be more popular than The Birds was.

And, by the way, I want to go on record right now as saying I did not have anything to do with the demise of Susan Pleshette. I know she was killed in The Birds. And I know she died this past week. It was just a coincidence.

She'd still be alive today if you hadn't picked "The Birds"!

OK, maybe not...

I didn't pick "The Patriot", so you can't pin that one on me.
