I am probably shooting myself in the foot by going with a character hardly known beyond these shores, but I consider it my bounden duty to expose Desperate Dan to this avowedly cosmopolitan collection of humorous-picture fans.
Enjoying one of his characteristic feeding frenzies inspired by a Cow Pie, Dan is the stuff of popular comic legend. Such is is fame here in the British Isles, his statue can be seen in the Scottish city of Dundee, home of the publishers of The Dandy. |
