How can someone hate Steve Carell? I mean, I like the guy a lot, but it's like saying you hate Laura Linney or green carpeting or the capybara. It's not that he's infallible, just... why does he inspire such strong emotions?

I caught a chunk of "The 40 Year old Virgin" pretty much by mistake on tv over the weekend, and I like Carell a lot, from "Little Miss Sunshine" and for his squirrel in "Over the Hedge" too - so I gave it a fair chance. It was a lot better than I expected, even pretty decent...
...I still turned it over though. |
