We here at the Haiku Academy have been encouraging the haiku form as a means of sorting out the world's political differences. Therefore we are pleased to announce the results of our survey of whether or not to allow the form an extra line of random syllables. So, despite the fact that two of our eminent lecturers have been kidnapped and the entire campus is away helping police with their enquiries ... excuse me, who are you?
[faint whispers are overheard, the crowd rustles their crackerjacks]

Shut up. You have it all wrong. All your theories are rubbish! Here are the winners:
Tied in third place for LA pretentiousness, with three points each
are
MguyX [2,1] and Me BaftaBorg [1,2]
Tied in second place for timeliness, with five points each
are
rockfsh [3,2] and Whippersnapper [1,1,3]
are
But out in front with 6 points, making the right turn on her red light and making it home in time for shellfish ...

Thank you, and after suffering through 8 days of eating matzah, I'm giving you all the most appropriate (and best known) movie that relates directly to this holiday.
As Moshe said "Let Them Eat Matzah".
(Why they didn't cut off his head after that, is beyond me!)

Actually when one person comes first, and two people come equal second, people behind come fourth, not third.
Not that I'm saying you can't add up or anything.
Just sayin'.

Eh, you may have heard it before, but its wrong, as having a joint second means the next one (or group) are fourth.
Try it on your fingers. You'll see I'm right.
