In honour of the FWFR get-together in London this weekend, we really ought to have a theme related in some way to the UK capital city.

Hence the Pearly Kings and Queens.

Somehow I doubt whether Lady Gaga is a bona fide Pearly Queen, despite the costume, but 'One Never Knows', as the PKs and PQs are wont to say.

Robert Guillaume as Purlie Victorious Judson in the film Purlie based on the play.

Any suggestions as to how I can tie this to the "kings & queens" part of the theme?

I don't really get the topic but a penguin in a submarine stealing a black pearl from a sleeping oyster should suffice.
