A bunch of people (unknowingly) take L.S.D. There�s really no plot at all but I was rapt from beginning to end.
The son of the family is literally called Sonny.
A burlesque performer is unable to escape from the venue�s controlling proprietor.

Lemmy in for #1292.
The most memorable scene in The Extra Girl has star Mable Normand on a movie set leading around what she thinks is a big dog in a lion costume which turns out to be a real lion. Classic Mack Sennett.
His Kind of Woman�Vincent Price, who could ham it up with the best, here beautifully plays a ham actor.
Mannequin�here, before he became the lead in the Dead End Kids/East Side Kids/Bowery Boys series, Leo Gorcey plays Joan Crawford�s kid brother�they live on Hester Street in the heart of NYC�s East Side.
Our Blushing Brides�Joan Crawford again. Here she plays a department store model, specializing in lingerie, who keeps her virtue while her two roommates try to sleep their way to riches.
The Wreck of the Mary Deare�The film has its moments but no thanks to Eric Ambler�s talky script. He had better luck a few years earlier with The Cruel Sea.
