It's a twist on "Rape, murder" - I've probably been listening to the Rolling Stones too much. |

NB: Elizabeth Moss stars in the Leigh Whannell directed remake of "The Invisible Man" In "Gerald's Game" a wife is forced to improvise an escape after she is handcuffed to a bed in a remote country house, during a sex game turned tragic. Rafe Spall stars in "The Ritual", featuring occult sacrifices. The 2019 "Pet Semetary" was the second attempt to film Stephen King's novel of unwise resurrection. Bill Nighy stars as a London police detective investigating a serial killer in "The Limehouse Golem". |

Fiona Oakes holds the record for running a marathon on every continent and at the North Pole despite missing a kneecap. Psyche is the given name of a contributing professional. Rob Herring wrote and directed one of the environmental films. Here are my five reviews. |

5/5; one of them has nearly the same pun title as one of the films I 'screened' just the other day. |

The Big Liftan interesting oddity, shot in devastated post-WWII Berlin , starring Montgomery Clift ( who also starred in The Search, set in the same locale) in which second-billed Paul Douglas tries throughout the film to explain the meaning of democracy to a young, nazi-brainwashed young woman.
Earth vs. the Flying Saucersspoiler alert for those who are easily spoiled.
A crusading D.A. sends to prison a fast (literally & figuratively) young socialite on whom he has a crush. An early C.B. DeMille melodrama with a message and (and lots of decadence).
Cornel Wilde is literally on the run from savages who want to eliminate him.
A fast and efficient B in which an amnesiac who may have committed a murder is assisted by an attractive and clever cab driver. Filmed earlier (1936) with the cabbie a male and no romance.
