Moon set.
Paul Mooney spent his life telling the truth. A black man with a wit sometimes dry, sometimes sharp and sometimes subtle, Mooney famously wrote for Richard Pryor, and in not so recent years, Dave Chappelle. Mooney was like a knife with a laugh track laid over a blood-curdling scream. He was comedy and discomfort forced to be in the same room, which is what made him tick. I will miss his insight. |
