Really glad to see the weekly 50 review counter up and running benj.

Yes, and I also hope to make them more visual and less wordy- either diagrams or interactive walkthroughs. Basically, I want to make the FAQs more in keeping with the new site's graphical buttons, rather than the old site's wordy buttons.

Hi, benj

Another little anomaly relating to the #1 green rosettes. I have noticed several that are placed on reviews which in fact do not have the most votes.

Here is an example:

I'll add links for others as I find them.

Took some doing this one, but I think it's sorted now. Also, for the record, it will be possible for more than one review to hold the green rosette for a film, assuming they both have the same number of votes.

Sounds good. Thanks Benj.

Auto logout is still happening on a daily basis from the fourum, but not on the main site (fwfr.com, I haven't been auto-logged out of there for ages).

I use W7 with FF 11.0.

Anybody else having trouble with the IMdb button? It doesn't do anything for me, either on IE or Safari.

Works okay for me. Have you installed any security updates lately that might stop pop-up windows from happening?

Benj, I hope this is the right place to post this.

It seems that the review page for Wallace and Gromit in A Close Shave is nonexistent on the new site. When I try to open it I get the "Something just went 'Plunk!'" message. It's not an urgent matter, but I thought I'd point it out.

By the way, kudos on the new site! I certainly prefer it to the old.

Thanks- I'll take a look.

Apologies for my silence of late BTW. Rest assured I'm not just leaving things as they are- I'm making considerable changes to the layout which should make some of you happier and hopefully not upset those of you who already like what I've done

I dont know if this is the place to ask. I would like to add a review stat for 2012 for me. How do I go about doing it now? We used to have a list we could pick from. Im not sure how to go about creating one.

I find the new site cool to view and visit but not to work in. How do I generate a URL like this on the new site if I want to separate a review?

Another crib: I am viewing my reviews pages and click the name of a movie from somewhere in the middle of that list; all is well till I hit the back button - it lands me into the default reviews page/ order than what I was viewing (unlike in the old site).

I asked this question a while back. Hers is benj's response:

In the previous version we could isolate one or more of our reviews and post the url in the fourum. This was used in contests, games, promotion, pimping, whatever.

You have no idea how long I've been waiting for someone to ask this question...

Try this: ensure you're logged in and then hold your left mouse button down on any review for 2-3 seconds.

Yep- see Lemmy's reply (if you haven't already).

Apologies this is currently an undocumented feature (then again, it wasn't even a feature before- just a hack, so surely any attempt to simplify the process is a good thing) but it will be documented once the new site is settled in.
