Yikes, I didn't realise this had been on the cards since at least 2004! |

You've never heard of Happiness? I'm surprised- lots of great actors in it and it caused a big stir when it came out. It's probably one of my favourite films of the 90s.
I was at university then so I saw no television and rarely went to the cinema, and the Internet was much less all-pervasive than it is now. |

Thanks. Never heard of either before: will have to check them out. |

I made the above link display 100 films, which I thought would be plenty. Looks like I'll have to edit it at this rate. |

Hmm... hard to call this one. Search around and a fair few people see it as quite possibly being a sequel (albeit unofficial)- http://www.bfi.org.uk/sightandsound/review/7/
Yep, the character has a different name, but given Harry Caul's paranoia it wouldn't be out of character for him to have changed it in the years following The Conversation. Your call- I won't be offended if you give this one a miss
Well, I'll leave it out then since there is no shortage of official ones. Thanks for all your help. |

Are these definitely part of the same story? (I've never seen either, so please no spoilers.) Gene Hackman plays different characters, for example.

I suspect this may grow to be quite a sizeable accolade, especially given the recent trend for reviving franchises of or introducing late sequels to movies from the 80s/90s.
Personally, I blame Take That and their reformation in recent years.
Quite. I'd increase the number of years but there are some quite iconic examples about a decade apart. |

I've got to leave these out, as Rumour Has It is more about/linked to The Graduate than a sequel. |
