Ever since Sen suggested Friends as the topic a couple of months ago,
I've wondered what we could do with Enemies. Let's see.

In The Fantasticks, two fathers are enemies -- or, at least they pretend to be to trick their son and daughter into falling in love. Here's a poster from the local production I'm involved with now.

I believe Sean used that ages ago. He rarely repeats himself.

In fact, Sean won the avatar contest by a landslide with that one (#192 - Self Destructive Behavior), though I see a beautiful fusion of iconic FWFR avatars.

Unfortunately, prior winners are not resueable (as are not pictures of an anus that has lost three times, sometimes called the Cheese-Ed-is-REALLY-tired-of-that-nasty-MguyX-photo Rule, which picture I promise not to submit again, unless it's really necessary, seeing as it almost won the last time I tried, and I hear FOUR is a lucky number around here, but I digress).

For my own part, I submit the classic conflict: cat and dog.

Correct and .... correct. I've used that one twice (I think?), I don't recall the first topic but I recall it didn't win, but when the "Self Destructive Behaviour" topic came up I couldn't not use it as it fit so perfectly (although I chopped the other penguin off). And won.

Unlike Cheese_Ed who refuses to recycle cheese, I'm not opposed to re-using a penguin if a later topic fits it better, but seeing as I don't keep a record of what I've used it's likely to happen anyway.

BTW penguins and polar bears aren't natural enemies as they don't know each other exist, although I'm sure they would be if they did.

Seeing as it's a previous winner, I humbly apologise and, in the spirit of all FWFR competitions, withdraw the avatar from this contest.

Plenty of time to find a new one, Chris.

Sorry Mguy was such an a-hole (although I only remember it being used once... Uranus, wasn't it?).

For my entry, we don't use this phrase, "As different as chalk and cheese," in the US, but I'm glad to see they are trying to work through their differences.

Better view in the gallery.

In Wild Things, Neve Campbell and the delicious Denise Richards are enemies, then friends, then lovers, then friends, then enemies... Where was I?
