I'd say a Disney exec's attempt at boosting merchandise sales, myself , but I haven't heard anything about this film, so I'll go with the controversy and say it's the gay Republican one.
Glass Tiger or Corey Hart (Glass Tiger played at our work event last night... weird.)

You are most certainly correct on that!

This is a new Winnie the Pooh movie. I have only seen the trailers myself.
Given the recent (and extremely stupid) furor "Religious Right" figures like Falwell and Donald Wildmon have made over gay "overtones" in "Barney", "Teletubbies" and "Sponge Bob Square Pants".
And here comes a movie with purple (supposedly the gay color) eleph..I mean heffalumps (The symbol of the Republican party) and is about teaching tolerance and friendship to someone different (Which is partially what the Sponge Bob "controversy" was about.)
There really isn't any controversy (at least I hope not!), but I couldn't resist

You'd be surprised that you'd know both of these Canadian 80's rock outfits - Glass Tiger sang 'Don't for-get me when I'm gone... whoa-oh-oh-oh' with Bryan Adams, and Corey Hart sang 'Sunglasses at night', both massive international hits.
And now they play local theatre company fundraisers.
