They do say that the erotic content of Hammer's horror films reached an all-time high in Countess Dracula, based on the real-life exploits of Countess Elisabeth Bathory, a mass murderer who believed that the blood of virgins could keep her eternally youthful. Ingrid Pitt plays the blood-thirsty Countess, a crazed tyrant who kills and kills again to satisfy her craving to remain young and beautiful.
What more could you possibly want from a Hammer horror - other than a poster featuring a couple of naked bottoms, perhaps? |
